Don’t walk alone in this life; make sure that you have a friend to sharpen you! Our Methodist Men’s Group is a great place to find a friend. From August to May this group of men meets every Wednesday at church in the Wesleyan Room for lunch from noon until 1:00 pm. The meal consists of some of the best home cooked sandwiches that you will ever eat with chips, dessert, and iced tea or coffee for only $7.00! During the Summer we meet most at different local restaurants around town. We have food, fellowship, a short Bible study, and close in prayer. We make it a point to eat too much, laugh just enough, and lift each other up in prayer continually. Any man from18 to108 is welcome to join us and even bring a friend or neighbor.
The organized unit of the United Women of Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ: to develop a creative, supportive fellowship: and to expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Our United Women in Faith meet the first Tuesday of every month in the Wesleyan Classroom.
55 & Rising is the group for senior adults in our church and you don’t have to be a member of Sevierville First United Methodist Church to participate. We don’t have a mission statement, because we choose to focus on fellowship and giving our seniors a place to connect with each other. We meet once a month usually on the second Monday of the month for picnics, entertainment, lunch, travel to the mountains, and we have topics of discussion every meeting. Some of the topics include careers, travel, authors, book reviews, music, thought for the day, and sometimes we have games, entertainment, etc. We strive to have fun, fellowship, and food at every meeting.
Please join us soon!
Come join us as we fellowship together and use the talents of quilting, knitting and crochet to minister to others in our community. If you do not know how to quilt, knit or crochet and would like to learn we will teach you!
We meet every Monday morning in the Parlor from 9:00-11:00.
Our class is for 18-35 year olds. We have been meeting together for a little over a year now. We are doing life together and praying for each other every step of the way. Doing life together and learning more about the Word of God have been the strong points of our group. We meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 and also get together different times throughout the year outside of the church.
Join us as we drive into God’s word. We are made up of 50 – 100 year olds. We have been together many years and love learning more and more each week. We meet on the second floor in the Ross Gray class room.
Join us in the youth room as we dive deeper into God’s word! We are going through the Bible and apply it to our lives so that we can better share our faith in our schools, at work, and in everyday life. We also have Bible trivia!
We are “Rooted.” We have been together going on our 10th year. We use the Bible & Commentaries for our study. We study the Bible book by book and verse by verse. We are on the second floor.
Kids for Christ is a Bible based Sunday School for 4th – 6th graders. The lessons use several Old and New Testament scriptures, and when possible, to relate the lesson to their everyday life. Each child will independently find the Bible verse and all will read select verses aloud. Each child participates in prayer and will, on a rotating basis open or close the class with a prayer. Our goal is to help the students relate to and understand the importance of the Bible, as a foundation, while their faith matures.
Our class is made up of people from all walks of life. We go through different studies of the Bible and learn with each other. We are also a strong group that loves to welcome new faces and grow with them in Christ.
